Toko Kue &Es Krim Mama Makassar : Traditional Made ModernMama Toko Kue & Es Krim Makassar-2 copy

I respect Toko Kue & Es Krim Mama Makassar for doing business that matters. Not only do they sell food for profit but they sell traditional Makassar cakes that often times you’d find it hard to get other than here. To add to that, they modernize the process and packaging so that you’ll feel safe having it compared to getting one on the streets. For a small premium, you lose your worry about whether they are going to mess with your stomach or not.
If I’m allowed to make an award for Top Places To Eat In Makassar, I would nominate Toko Kue & Es Krim Mama Makassar definitely.
All of the ice cream here are homemade and you can tell by the taste that it’s as natural as you can get. I personally love their coconut and blueberry flavor.

The cakes that you see in the photos above, it was my first time tasting them. From left to right here’s Duri Durian, Cucur Bayao, Egg Tart and Bangko. My favorites are Cucur Bayao. Its sweet, made of eggyolk only, so it has that touch of savory at the end of it. My second favorite is Bangko. Coconut and corn mashed in together. Lovely, just lovely.
